Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati kick off in Florence

Pitti Bimbo 103, The Pool

A week after a Pitti Immagine Uomo, Pitti Immagine Bimbo and Pitti Immagine Filati are back in Florence—the two leading international trade shows for children’s and youth apparel, and for knitwear’s yarns, respectively. Both events take place today, June 24, and tomorrow, June 25, 2026, at the Fortezza da Basso.

For Pitti Immagine Bimbo, the central theme is the world of The Pitti Pool, the theme of the summer edition. The event remains an unmissable destination for those seeking inspiration and authentic connections. More than just a trade show, it is a true international “meeting place” where visitors can discover trends and find inspiration in junior fashion and family lifestyle.

The Top Floor of the Central Pavilion remains the heart of the event. In addition to the new clothing collections, thanks to strategic curation resulting from months of global scouting, Pitti Bimbo 103 showcases the s/s 2027 novelties from an unprecedented mix of kidswear and lifestyle brands, featuring 112 leading brands—a high percentage of which are international—that respond to the new values of contemporary families.

From fresh, high-tech fabrics to avant-garde beachwear, lightweight clothing, and the most innovative accessories and items, the selection offers international buyers a precise roadmap for identifying the desires of new consumers, along with a series of initiatives providing valuable insights and market direction. “The children’s fashion market is undoubtedly going through a complex phase due to the major transformations affecting consumption, purchasing habits, distribution, and, consequently, the entire production system,” commented Ivano Cauli, CEO, Pitti Immagine.

“Based on this understanding, our response is to design a trade show grounded in practicality and in listening to industry professionals, with a particular focus on innovative fashion tailored to children in terms of design, sustainable practices, and communication content,” he added while underscoring how the show has been networking—both in Italy and abroad—in order to respond to specific requests from brands and buyers.

“The market is asking for a hands-on approach, and we are transforming these needs into services and business opportunities, which are reflected both in the format of Pitti Bimbo—which is becoming increasingly interactive—and in the range of networking and contact tools we make available during the event. We are confident that serving the market will drive a tangible and widespread recovery in the sector,” continued the manager.

Pitti Filati, The Loom

During the same period, Pitti Immagine Filati will also take place, an event showcasing the collections of the leading Italian and international yarn manufacturers, tomorrow’s trends presented in the new Spazio Ricerca, and offerings from the special sections Knitclub, CustomEasy, and Institutional Area. All the yarn trends for Fall/Winter 2027–2028 will be on display, with a total of 119 companies presenting their new collections at the show.

“The Pitti Loom” is the new overarching theme of the event, now in its 99th edition. The protagonist is the loom, the fundamental element of the art of weaving. Both mechanical and poetic, it is capable of transforming a simple strand of wool into a work of art.

The fair’s two most important sections—Customeasy and KnitClub—are both located in the Central Pavilion on the Lower Level.

Customeasy is a project curated by Maurizio Brocchetto and designed to explore the various aspects of customization and to offer visitors an increasingly comprehensive, contemporary, and fluid exhibition experience that integrates diverse textile expertise. In addition to textile machinery and the exquisite finishing techniques applied to luxury knitwear, the section also showcases other segments of the creative process: embroidery, finishing, and design software.

KnitClub, on the other hand, showcases high-quality knitwear manufacturers. Here buyers, designers, and style departments from the most famous international fashion brands encounter the technical and creative excellence of the companies selected by Pitti Filati.

Feel The Yarn, Pitti Immagine Filati

Feel The Yarn, the competition dedicated to new designers specializing in knitwear, is back. In this edition, which focuses on the theme of colors, 34 designers are competing, each paired with a yarn manufacturer from the CPF Consorzio Promozione Filati, which has supported them with its yarns and expertise throughout the entire garment creation process.

The awards ceremony will take place on June 25 at 5:00 p.m. at the Feel the Yarn booth in the Cavedio Centrale, where the garments will be on display for the duration of the fair, alongside the exhibition “ArteMonium: Ariadne’s Thread—Matter Beyond Form,” featuring 34 paintings by artist Irene Pietrobono inspired by the mood boards and colors of the competing garments.

Among other popular sections there is also Vintage Selection, the go-to event for vintage enthusiasts, at its 46th edition. The show will take place from Wednesday, June 24, through Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Padiglione delle Ghiaia in the Fortezza da Basso.

The trade show is reserved for Pitti Filati buyers. Among the new features of this edition is “From Memory to the Future”: DNA Vintage, an exhibition dedicated to archival garments and accessories selected from exhibitors’ offerings, created to highlight and bring to the forefront the extraordinary research work that characterizes each company’s activities.

Among the participating brands are A.N.G.E.L.O., Atelier Edition, Delphine Vintage, Fernanda Vintage, Hunter Vintage Firenze Archivio, Montanaro Vintage, Officine Li Volsi, Plus Venturino Archivi, Shabby Chic Vintage, Sobriété d’Antoin, SP Vintage, Street Doing Vintage Firenze, and Tessuti d’Epoca di R. Pritelli.

InsideOut by C.L.A.S.S. campaign

On the lower level of the Central Pavilion, C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy)—a cultural and operational platform that brings together companies, institutions, and professionals—presents the social campaign “InsideOut by C.L.A.S.S.—Trust Is the New Luxury,” along with a presentation of its Decalogue of Values.

The project features a campaign and a call to action that invites the fashion industry to build the future with greater responsibility, highlighting ten values essential for reimagining the next-generation wardrobe—Ethics, Social Initiatives, Traceability & Transparency, Environment, Health, Circular Economy Initiatives, Design, Ingredients, Production, Dyeing & Finishing—while challenging and raising awareness among supply chains regarding the central role they play in bringing this vision to life.
