Sports legends never die. The return of Elho, an iconic sports brand with a sustainable soul, can become tomorrow’s new sport style star. After Moncler, an icon for Paninari hitting the sport-meets-fashion scene, the time is right for another sports apparel icon to come back.

Elho

It is the turn of Elho, a trendsetting skiwear brand founded in 1948 that had become popular between the 1970s and the 1990s for having revolutionised skiwear with vibrant neon colored down jackets, for inventing the jet pants, and for setting new standards in performance and style by bringing sports apparel that can be worn on the slopes and in the city.

Now Elho Freestyle—this is the brand’s new name—is back thanks to Donald Schneider, its re-founder and executive chairman, and former Vogue Paris art director, and designer Claudia Hofmann.

Schneider is an expert creative and award-winning creative mind and had the idea to create the world’s first designer collaboration, Karl Lagerfeld x H&M. Similarly, today he has transformed and radically reimagined Elho, giving it a new name with the aim of making it become a smashing, innovative outdoor style brand and potentially the next No. 1 brand for the youngest generation.

While Ehlo guarantees high-performance protection all year-round, even in a minus 20° snowstorm, it looks effortlessly cool for everyday urban life. Along with it, the creative duo behind its revamp has set a new clear direction by using only responsible materials like bio-based fabrics, PFC-free weather-resistant coatings, recycled down, and other low-impact materials.

“Elho has always been more than just an outdoor brand. It was a mindset and a rebellious attitude. It is precisely this spirit that is embodied in our relaunch. We call it ‘Elho Freestyle’ as we want to offer a visionary blend of heritage, performance, innovative design, and bio-based materials,” they explained.

Among them are personalities like designer Jeremy Scott, DJ style icon Charlotte de Witte, Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz, German rapper Ski Aggu, fashion icon Diane Pernet, NHL ice hockey superstar “El Niño” Nino Niederreiter, and TV star Michelle Hunziker.

Other ambassadors of the brands include Andri Ragettli, a freestyle ski champion and social media celebrity, and rising talent Zoë van Essen, a freestyle ski and skateboard prodigy, who both wear ice pink Elho f/w 2025/2026 outfits.

Special edition capsule collections  already attract attention among the brand’s fans. The first street art-minded capsule collection they launched is Jean-Michel Basquiat X Elho, celebrating the iconoclastic work of Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Having been a true pioneer with a rebel spirit, Basquiat’s defiance and creativity is a perfect match for Elho’s Freestyle state of mind. In this exclusive capsule, Basquiat’s bold black-and-white graphics  decorate high-performance skiwear—from bomber jackets to hoodies. Each piece embodies Basquiat’s daring spirit, and is designed to always make a statement.

Elho also launched a collaboration with graffiti artist André Saraiva, including the Phantom performance bomber jacket, hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, T-shirts, and beanies—all featuring exclusive artwork and colors—including iconic pink and black—reminiscent of the artist’s world.
