New York, 16 September 2026–G-Star, the Dutch global denim brand, and the Wu-Tang Clan hip-hop band, together with the prestigious Iconic Artists Group company, have signed a multi-year apparel collaboration.

The first collection will debut this fall in G-Star’s Atlanta store on September 20, as Wu-Tang Clan will be performing at Shaky Knees Festival, from September 18 to September 20, in Piedmont Park, before their historic induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November.

More drops, including capsules for women, will follow in 2027.

This new chapter represents a new evolution for both the rap group and G-Star, as it will stand out for its new cut, construction, and denim washes, alongside outerwear and knitwear, and will further evolve into a new and wider collaboration.

“Wu-Tang built a world out of nothing but skill, code, and imagination—that’s the same discipline behind every pair of jeans we make,” said Rob Schilder, CEO, G-Star. “And Atlanta feels like the right place to introduce that to the people,” he added.

“G-Star is on the scene representing the rugged mixed with swag and elegance, a style that completely fits Wu-Tang because we’ve always represented urban ruggedness yet elevated swag,” said RZA, founder and producer of the group.

“This partnership is a perfect alignment of G-STAR’s raw denim heritage and Wu-Tang’s raw, unbridled energy,” commented Iconic Artists Group’s SVP, head of Licensing and Brand Partnerships, Bil Bertini.

Wu-Tang Clan was founded in New York City’s Staten Island in the early 1990s, and is considered by many as the greatest hip-hop group of all time.

It has been touring as a unit since they released their debut record—“Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)”—in 1993. They have won three platinum albums among their eight LPs, and the group’s complete anthology (including solo albums) has more than 85 full-length releases. More than just rappers, Wu-Tang Clan are entrepreneurs and cultural influencers, collaborating on various projects, including clothing lines and video games, along with books and acting credits.

Led by its founder and head of production RZA, samples from martial arts films have appeared throughout the group’s music, as have samples of classic funk and soul tracks from artists like Rick James, James Brown, and Syl Johnson.

Iconic Artists Group is dedicated to acquiring, actively managing, and preserving the important legacy of iconic musical artists including The Beach Boys, Bryan Ferry, Cher, Rod Stewart and many others.
