The upcoming Milan Fashion Week, scheduled for September 22–28, 2026, is warming up its engines and preparing to host 203 events, including 61 runway shows, 88 presentations, and 54 events, many of which will be open to the public.
Among them will be “Voices of Denim,” an exhibition curated by Levi’s and the Afro Fashion Association. Denim will take center stage in a multidisciplinary exhibition open to the public that will explore denim as a living language and a canvas for identity, creativity, and self-expression.
The project brings together a new generation of creatives from various fields, including fashion, photography, styling, visual arts, and storytelling. In addition to an opening reception scheduled for September 24, on September 27 they will present a documentary and an intimate behind-the-scenes look at “Voices of Denim”—a documentary that, through the voices of the creatives, mentors, and people who helped bring the project to life, recounts the ideas, encounters, and creative process that gave rise to the exhibition.
Furthermore, also open to the city will be “Spectrum,” an exhibition dedicated to Viktor&Rolf, will be open to the public from September 25 through November 22.
Many debuts will stand out in this fashion week’s schedule. Among them, Blauer Glam will launch its new more sophisticated line, along with Cycle and Parajumpers, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary, and Gobi, one of its most iconic jackets.
Other brands making their debut for Milan shows include Absent Findings, Andrea Brocca, Be Nina, Daily Mirror, Gongdid Design, Kenneth Tetteh, Lacca, Leandro Cano, Lug Von Siga, Misenithe, Off-White, Paris Texas, Sagio, Sézane, and Unknown Artisan.
Returning ton the scene with a presentation are Alanui, Gherardini, and La Perla. Also Moschinowill make its debut with a runway show and a co-ed collection under the guidance of its two new creative directors, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo.
Among the brands celebrating significant anniversaries, Tod’s will mark its 40th anniversary, Parajumpers will celebrate its 20th, while The Attico, Gianvito Rossi, Amato Daniele, and Edis Pal will celebrate their first 10 years.
“The strength of Milan Fashion Week stems from its ability to integrate the various dimensions of creative fashion: the major brands that have helped build the international prestige of ‘Made in Italy’ and the emerging talents who are shaping the future of our industry,” commented Carlo Capasa, president of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion.
“Milan continues to attract brands and creatives because it offers a unique environment in which heritage and experimentation, industry and research, established visions and new languages coexist and enhance the value of fashion. The debuts and new entries in this edition are a concrete sign of Milan’s vitality and appeal—not only for the major players but also for the new generations and new projects. It is this ability to evolve while remaining true to its identity that makes Milan increasingly central to the international fashion scene,” concludes Capasa.
Among the projects supporting the new generation of designers, the CNMI Fashion Trust also announces the second edition of “The Apartment,” a multidisciplinary space where fashion and art will engage in dialogue. Throughout the week, the space will host exhibitions, presentations, and performances, featuring independent designers Andrea Brocca, Be Nina, Pecoranera, Saman Loira, and Unknown Artisan.
To mark the 130th anniversary of Udinese Calcio, Giuseppe Buccinnà, a designer supported by the CNMI Fashion Trust, has created the club’s commemorative jersey and a capsule collection dedicated to the anniversary. The project to be disclosed within The Apartment demonstrates how fashion, sports, and the local community can give rise to new expressions of creativity.
To mark the occasion, the city of Milan plans to showcase its international side through a variety of initiatives. Although “The Devil Wears Prada 2” had already foreshadowed this cinematically by setting many of its scenes in Italy’s fashion capital, Vogue World will take place on September 22. This event, dedicated to the theme “The Human Touch in the Age of Technology,” is designed to celebrate creativity while highlighting the role of Italian craftsmanship, human capital, and the fruitful dialogue between tradition and innovation.
