Milan, September 13, 2026—Starting today, Sunday, September 13, through Wednesday, September 16, and continuing thereafter, several fashion industry events will be held in Milan at the Rho Trade Show Center. Among them there are Micam Milano, Mipel, TheOneMilano, Fashion&Jewels, and SIMAC Tanning Tec, dedicated respectively to footwear, handbags and leather goods, outerwear and furs, jewelry and costume jewelry, and leather processing machinery.

Following an evolutionary process that began in February 2026, the trade shows will take place in a single venue accessible with a single pass and without registration barriers, according to a new concept and exhibition layout—Fashion Link Milano.

This new vision features spaces designed to help buyers get the most out of their visits, guide their routes, facilitate meetings, and foster new networking and business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.

Starting with this edition, the project is further enhanced by additional initiatives aimed at improving the trade show experience, addressing the needs of an evolving global market, and showcasing both “Made in Italy” companies and international leaders in their fields.

Among the new features is “The Buyers’ Journey,” an event to be held twice a year—in September and February—at the ADI Design Museum, in Milan, offering international buyers a seamless and comprehensive experience while providing a contemporary perspective on the global market through products, technical innovation, and the sector’s evolving needs.

Industry expert Orietta Pellizzari, independent buyer Chiara Allegra Moretti, and storyteller Federico Galli presented the project a few days before the show’s start.

“Today, buyers arrive at the trade show with increasingly well-defined objectives, more structured information, and more precise selection criteria. A visit is no longer just a moment of discovery, but part of a journey that begins before entering the trade show and continues through relationships with companies, brands, suppliers, and partners,” explained Pellizzari, summarizing the objectives of the new initiative.

“Fashion Link is a project created to bring together Made in Italy fashion brands for four days because we realized that single-product stores no longer exist. Nowadays, stores offer everything. Therefore, if we give buyers the opportunity to make selections for their stores with a single trip, we facilitate their task and allow them to optimize costs,” explained Giovanna Ceolini, president, Micam and Assocalzaturifici.

At the Rho trade show pole, the number of exhibitors of Micam remains steady compared to previous editions, with 758 brands from 29 countries.

Buyers in attendance will come from approximately 130 countries, including France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, and the Netherlands, as well as the U.S., China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Israel, and Canada, in addition to Denmark, Australia, and Indonesia.

“At the heart of the September edition is the relationship with the retail sector, supported by a major international buyer invitation program thanks to a collaboration with ICE and MAECI, as well as a series of tools designed to make buyers’ work more effective before and during the event,” explains Ceolini.

“The footwear sector is showing a slight improvement, with purchases from France on the rise, as is the Italian market. Spain and Poland are experiencing strong growth. China and the US, despite all their foreign policy challenges, are showing signs of recovery, though not yet a real increase with positive growth,” continues the show’s president.

She also underscores how the space becomes an integral part of the experience: it guides visitors’ paths, facilitates meetings, and fosters new networking and business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors.

Mipel, the leather goods trade show, also confirms a stable number of exhibitors compared to past editions, with 180 exhibitors.

In addition to benefiting from the presence of incoming buyers, the trade show will collaborate with other events participating in Fashion Link. They participate in fashion shows along with Fashion & Jewels, where they showcase handbags, shoes, accessories, and jewelry. Together with Micam and Assomac, they collaborate on projects such as workshops with students and the live creation of small handmade items.

“Being all in the same areas together has added value for everyone,” commented Claudia Sequi, president, Mipel and Assopellettieri. “Buyers no longer buy horizontally but vertically because they buy different types of goods. With the show’s new layout we are trying to bring trade shows together, and create more sharing opportunities and a whole series of initiatives that build a hub where buyers can find all the products they can include in their stores’ offer,” added Sequi, director Mipel and sector association Assopellettieri.
