Tranoï Tokyo, the show part of the GL Events global trade show organisation, will take place for its 5th edition–two years after its launch–on 9 and 10 September 2026, at Yoyogi National Stadium. For this run, for the first time, the show will host a preview of Denim Première Vision, the international trade show focused on denim materials and innovation, marking its debut in Japan, at the same venue.
Participating in the event will be about 200 brands from more than 25 countries offering a multifaceted experience of the latest trends, creativity, and innovation.

For the first time, Tranoï Tokyo will present a fashion show featuring creations by nine Romanian designers, in collaboration with Pioneer Denim (read here to learn more).
As Romania’s fashion industry has cultivated exceptional technical expertise and craftsmanship, today a new emerging generation of talents will take the stage bringing their own distinctive creative vision and quality-rich products to the global fashion scene.
Two talks
For the first time the show will host two talks exploring the newest perspectives of fashion and culture in Japan, the US, and Europe.
On the first day, September 9th, at 1PM, they will host the talk “When Japan became a style”, hosting Sue Barret, creative director and co-founder of Denim Forum and Worn Publications, with Maurizio Donadi, founder of Transnomadica archive, and Hirofumi Kurino, senior advisor and creative director, United Arrows.
The three speakers will explore how Japan and the West have influenced one another over the years. Drawing on their distinct backgrounds and experiences, they will discuss the ways in which Japanese and Western fashion have intersected, shaped each other, and evolved through these exchanges.
On the second day, on September 10th, at 1PM they will hold another talk––How do we know what’s cool?”–involving Amy Leverton, denim expert, consultant and founder, Denim Dudes, along with Murakami Kaname, editor-in-chief, WWD Japan, and Alex Thumerelle, co-founder and owner, 0fr.
Together they will discuss about the question: “Who decides what matters in fashion today?” From global street culture, media, brands, and creators to social media and communities they will analyse who is leading in defining what’s “cool” in fashion today, and how does it happen.

Beams, a leading Japanese fashion and lifestyle retailer, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, in collaboration with 0fr. Paris. During the show they will also unveil a retrospective on the brand for the first time, while presenting an archive of works by photographer Takashi Homma.
