While next Milan Fashion Week will be taking place from 22 to 28 September 2026, many new projects are taking shape for the upcoming edition and for 2027.
Among many novelties from 2027, the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards will be facing an evolution by changing concept and name and becoming The CNMI Creative and Sustainable Fashion Awards..
The new event is a reimagined initiative with the aim of promoting creativity and sustainability as equally fundamental values shaping the future of fashion, while giving visibility to the Italian fashion industry.
The Awards will recognize individuals and companies that distinguish themselves for their vision, and ability to generate a positive impact on the industry and society.
“Today more than ever, we believe that creativity and sustainability are inseparable dimensions of the same vision for the future. With these new awards, we want to celebrate them through talent, innovation, and responsibility, contribute to the evolution of our industry. This renewed format expresses even more strongly the vision of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana: to promote a fashion system capable of combining creative excellence, positive impact, and growth for the entire sector,” said Carlo Capasa, chairman, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
Speaking about the upcoming edition of Milan Fashion Week, its new calendar will host 60 shows, of whose 54 physical and 6 digital ones.
Among most noteworthy debuts Moschino’s new creative directors, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo, will disclose the prestigious brand’s new course.
Among this season’s highlights, Marques’ Almeida, the Portuguese brand and winner of the LVMH Prize, will present its collection for the first time. Also making their debuts will be Miguel Vieira, a Portuguese brand; Neithan Herbert, a Mexican brand founded by Ecuadorian designer Neithan Ruiz; and Victor-Hart, the recipient of “The Max&Co. Design for Change” award at the Camera Moda Fashion Trust Grant 2024.
Making their first appearance via a digital event will be: Banke Kuku, a Nigerian-British brand; Mastewal Alemu, an Ethiopian brand; and Timisola Shasanya, a Nigerian artisanal brand.
A special event will take place in Milan’s “salotto”—the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery—on Tuesday, September 22. Organised by Vogue magazine, “Vogue World: Milan” is an event dedicated to the theme “The Human Touch in the Age of Technology” and will celebrate creativity by highlighting the role of Italian craftsmanship and the interplay between tradition and innovation.
On September 23, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion will host a Gala Dinner to kick off Milan Fashion Week at Palazzo Reale. The event will coincide with the opening of the exhibition “Dalí and Fashion”—sponsored by the City of Milan’s Department of Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale, Mondo Mostre, and Civita Mostre e Musei, in collaboration with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí.
