Manteco doesn’t stop innovating and steps in the outdoor segment

Tēpo by Manteco

Manteco, an Italian textile company and a specialist in high-quality circular wool textiles, continues to develop new responsible materials since it was founded in 1943.

The company produces 100% in Tuscany through MSystem, a certified and fully traceable zero-kilometer supply chain, and combines sustainability, innovation, and creativity. While it has developed pioneering circular economy projects and owns its own regenerated wool brands MWool and ReviWool, it has just launched some new special products for f/w 2027/2028, as seen at the last Milano Unica edition.

Among other innovative materials, it has just stepped into the outdoor sector and launched Tēpo, a technical fleece developed with Manteco wools. The new line, whose name originates from the Italian word “tepore” (meaning “cozy warmth”), originates from the merging together of performance, comfort, and circularity. This natural, warm, and comforting material combines wool’s antibacterial properties and high breathability with the adaptive knit technology of this innovative mid-layer fabric.

An MCashmere step at Manteco

Also new is MCashmere, a new fiber joining Manteco’s iconic MWool and ReviWool selection. This new material was developed to preserve and extend the lifecycle of one of the world’s rarest and most precious natural fibers as it aims to safeguard biodiversity.

Following a study carried out in partnership with the CIRAIG university consortium, a global study has scientifically proven that MCashmere reduces potential biodiversity loss by 686 times.

MCashmere has already reached full industrial production through an exclusive partnership between Manteco and Safe (a hub of circular economy consortia). This strategic agreement aims to promote the recovery and recycling of both pre- and post-consumer wool and cashmere from leading luxury brands, all within a fully traceable, Made in Italy supply chain.
