Visitors at Milano Unica

The 43rd edition of Milano Unica concluded with an increase of its international buyers and a slight decline in Italian buyers, partly due to transportation difficulties.

Particularly significant was the participation of buyers mainly from France (+25%), followed by the U.S. (+8%), the U.K. (+10%), Japan (+14%), and South Korea (+22%), based on the number of companies present.

China and Germany remained stable. Furthermore, for the first time, international participation reached nearly 50% of the total. This result builds on the excellent initial figures, with a total of 737 exhibitors—604 at the Ideabiella, Moda In, and Shirt Avenue shows—including not only the confirmed 460 Italian exhibitors but also a significant increase (+15.2%) in European exhibitors.

Over the course of the three days, a series of meetings, in-depth discussions, and opportunities for exchange took place, involving exhibitors, buyers, institutions, and industry professionals from major international markets—confirming the event’s ongoing commitment to becoming increasingly international.

“The results of this edition represent an important consolidation, but even more significant is the message that emerges from these three days: European manufacturing continues to be a benchmark when it invests in quality, research, innovation, and people,” stated Simone Canclini, president, Milano Unica.
