Value Milano, the new trade show organized by Messe Frankfurt, was unveiled last night in Milan. The German company specializes in organizing more than 60 trade shows worldwide, attracting visitors from 180 countries and 23,000 exhibitors from the textile sector alone.

The event aims to become a new hub for high-end textile excellence to meet the demands of an increasingly discerning, global market seeking high-quality and sustainable products, and will take place twice a year in sync with the Milan fashion calendar.

The debut of the first edition is scheduled for February 3–5, 2027, at The Mall. The following edition will take place in July, again in conjunction with Milano Unica, although it will begin one day after the established Milanese trade show.

The event will feature many product categories, including tailoring, luxury, premium sportswear, jeanswear, beachwear, and lingerie, to name a few.

“We chose to organize this event in Milan because it is a place very dear to me and one of the leading capitals when it comes to lifestyle, textiles, and creativity,” said Detlef Braun, member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt.

“The goal of this initiative is to establish a distinctive hub in Milan capable of engaging with industry players already active in the sector through a clear identity and a profile of excellence, prioritizing quality over quantity,” explained Federica Anastasio, show manager.

The selection of exhibitors—which could reach a maximum of 100 companies—has been entrusted to Ornella Bignami, a longtime insider in the textile industry who has been working with Messe Frankfurt for more than 35 years. The selection will include companies from various parts of the world, including Turkey, India, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Africa, Vietnam, and Korea.

“My task will be to ensure that all the criteria that define the quality and sustainability of the materials are met,” she explained, adding that a series of events within the event will round out the program. Among them, several collaborations with fashion schools will involve talented students in the creation of highly inspiring capsule collections.

The event’s visual identity will be curated by Frank Junker, an industry insider and former creative director of Munich Fabric Start. “I have worked in this sector for many years, specializing in premium fashion projects. I am confident that with this trade show, we will provide exactly what the fashion community needs,” Junker explained.
