In Florence, coinciding with the city’s June 2026 trade shows, Rereri has opened Rereri Leather Experience, a new experiential pop-up store that marks the start of a new phase for the Italian sustainable handbag brand.
The project debuted in 2025 and was conceived by Franco Gabbrielli, a designer and entrepreneur with over thirty years of experience in the Italian leather goods sector, in collaboration with Pierotucci, a Florentine leather factory store founded in 1972. The brand is designed to responsibly repurpose scraps and leftover materials from the supply chain and transform them into modular, customizable bags.
“With Rereri, we’ve chosen to invest in a project that represents a new way of interpreting contemporary leather goods, where sustainability, creativity, and a culture of craftsmanship come together in a tangible way,” explained Matteo and Marco Tucci, owners, Pierotucci.
“The pop-up was conceived as a natural extension of the experience space already in operation within the Pierotucci store at Via Dè Gondi 4/6r, on the corner of Piazza della Signoria, in Florence. We wanted to create a space designed to offer a close-up experience of the creative and artisanal process that shapes every Rereri Bag. Florence is the ideal place to carry this vision forward, because it embodies both a tradition of craftsmanship and the ability to continually innovate without losing its identity,” the entrepreneurs explained.
The pop-up was open from June 10 to 30, 2026, at The Social Hub Belfiore, located at 55 Viale Belfiore in Florence, offering visitors the chance to explore an immersive workshop that places the public at the heart of the creative process.
Through the “Made in Store – Designed by You” format, each visitor was able to enjoy a co-creation experience by designing their own bag according to their personal taste. At the heart of the project is Margherita, a symbol of the brand’s philosophy–a modular, customizable bag created through endless combinations of materials, textures, and finishes.
Rereri, which won the Sustainable Business Award in 2025, offers bags crafted from high-quality leathers sourced from the luxury supply chain, ensuring that each piece is unique. In addition to its best-known models—Margherita, Rebello, and Rebelt—the brand also unveiled the new Reband model, a gender-fluid crossbody bag available in various sizes.
After the closing of the pop-up at The Social Hub Belfiore, Rereri has returned to the Pierotucci boutique in Via Dè Gondi 4-6/r that has been selling it until now. Here it will continue offering its different models and new opportunities for customers to co-create their own style and experiment new endless color and material combination–waiting for the company to inaugurate, hopefully soon, a new home and crestive shopping hub for the brand.
