Pushing R&D to the highest level is a must for Ten C–The Emperor’s New Clothes, a premium sportswear brand part of the Veneto-based FGF Industry SPA group headed by Enzo Fusco. Ambitions have grown further, in particular, for its s/s 2027 collection as the brand adopted some of the most ground-breaking technology including, for instance, titanium-dyed and metal coated nylon fabrics.
Headed by the creative direction of Alessandro Pungetti, an expert sportswear and fashion insider with prestigious experiences in the high-end market including brands like C.P. Company and Stone Island, Ten C’s newest collection is the result of extensive research and experimentation with innovative materials and treatments. At the heart of the project is the industrialization of an innovative garment-dyed titanium nylon polyester fabric, developed after over a year of research and destined to mark a new chapter in the brand’s material evolution.
The titanium fabric takes shape in three iconic pieces—the Jeans Jacket, the Alpen Jacket, and the Windproof Anorak—and features a color palette inspired by nature like, for instance, Pompeii red, sandy shades, and the warmth of Sienna earth color. Thanks to this special developments, they reinterpreted traditional hues through the dyeing process and achieved new iridescent highlights and new 3-D color effects. The result are living surfaces, sensitive to light and movement, that redefine the concept of natural color through a technological lens.
Alongside the garment-dyed titanium, the collection introduces a new “dust” dye. This experimental treatment is based on the use of powders that settle on the fabric’s surface, giving the garments a slightly worn, parchment-like appearance. The result maintains consistency with the natural palette, yet enriches it with a deeper, tactile dimension.
Within the collection they also reinterpreted the 9oz OJJ (Original Japanese Jersey) fabric for summer with a new lightness that does not compromise its distinctive texture. They used it for a jogging suit, a new field jacket, and a bomber jacket and achieved a special two-tone print surface effect that amplifies its visual and chromatic impact.
Also outstanding is Nyfoil, a new garment-dyed metal coated nylon featuring a titanium-effect internal coating that creates complex metallic highlights that shine through the matte exterior. This technical dimension is complemented by more compact, authentic fabrics, such as garment-dyed worsted gabardine, used for military-inspired pieces reinterpreted with new volumes.
Lighter versions of the same models are created with an extremely lightweight nylon-cotton blend, which maintains their form while transforming their weight and feel, making the garments almost impalpable.
The Skye Ten Anorak, an iconic piece of the brand, has also evolved into a lighter version, crafted from transparent nylon and garment-dyed Tactel, also available in an all-Tactel variant.
Ten C is known for its no logo luxury outerwear made with the iconic exclusive patented fabric, OJJ (Original Japanese Jersey) developing in a total look range. The brand is currently distributed in 120 selected boutiques and multi-brand stores around the world, 80% of which are overseas.
