How the Denim Notes app can simplify jeans insiders' lives

Denim Notes app

Denim industry insiders have a new tool they can rely upon. It’s the Denim Notes app.

“By visiting at least four-five shows a year and meeting over 40 companies, it’s hard to keep track of all the material, information and possible deals,” explained, Umer Farooq Qureshi, an expert textile consultant from the denim industry whose experiences include Neela Blue and Sapphire Fibers Ltd., who has recently created this app. “And it becomes even more complicated when you want to share such results with your team,” he added.

Thanks to Denim Notes, and with the support of AI, any denim insider–at any level of the supply chain, from brands to suppliers–can scan each single fabric tag and keep track of its characteristics in a few seconds up to 200 articles. The tool also keeps record of material selections, notes, conversations going on with suppliers and follow-ups, including past meetings, while it can also save and send pdf files to sum up the collected results.

“It works on-line and off-line and keeps price information private, when desired. A few tests were already carried out during last Kingpins Amsterdam and the feedback was great,” explained Farooq.

The app can already operate when visiting other international trade shows, like, for instance, Denim Premiere Vision, Intertextile Shanghai, Milano Unica, Munich Fabric Start, Texworld, Bangladesh Denim Expo, Premiere Vision Paris, Colombiatex, Heimtextil Frankfurt, and Kingpins New York to name a few.
