Pitti Immagine Uomo, the international men’s fashion trade show that began on June 16 and concludes today, June 19, in Florence’s Fortezza da Basso, attracted over 11,000 buyers by the middle of the third day, with 5,200 attendees from about 90 countries.
The event featured 740 collections and numerous special events characterized by a high level of innovation, a variety of styles and products, and a strong presence of international sportswear and jeanswear brands.
The 110th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo confirms the forecasts and indicates an overall attendance of approximately 14,000 visitors, with a slight decrease in the number of foreign buyers—about 3.5%—compared to June 2025. From abroad, the event recorded the presence of high-level distribution and retail buyers. In particular, the largest foreign turnout came from Germany, Spain, the UK, the US, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Japan, to name a few.
“If we look at the foreign data in more detail, it’s interesting to note the excellent performance of foreign markets,” said Ivano Cauli, the newly elected CEO of Pitti Immagine, referring to Germany, the US, Hong Kong, and Canada.
“We’ve noticed that the Scandinavian region and Southeast Asia—including Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore—have held up well, along with the strong performance of Central and Eastern Europe, with Romania, Poland, Hungary, and even Ukraine. However, we’ve also seen slowdowns in traditional European markets, except for Switzerland, Austria, and Ireland,” he added.
“Some less-than-positive results from countries far away, such as Australia, suggest issues with travel costs, which obviously must be planned months in advance—a timeframe that coincided with the darkest months of the ongoing conflicts. We’re waiting for the trade show to conclude, and on the evening of Friday the 19th, we’ll be able to take stock with more information and reports. Even now, however, I can say that it’s not just a matter of numbers, because the atmosphere these past few days has been truly positive, right from the very start. The main credit goes to the more than 740 exhibitors who believed in and invested in the fair, to their collections that showcase high-quality craftsmanship and maintain an open approach to experimentation, blending contemporary sensibilities with elements of functionality across the various styles of men’s fashion. A major contribution comes from international collaborations, reflecting a trade show that has always served as a platform for global business networking,” added the manager at the close of the Pitti Uomo edition that marked his debut.
During the event’s opening ceremony, Luca Sburlati, president of Confindustria Moda—the association that brings together all the major manufacturers in the textile, apparel, footwear, and accessories sectors—emphasized the importance of men’s fashion for the entire Italian industry, as it accounts for 19% of the country’s textile and apparel production, with a value of €11 billion, nine billion of which comes from abroad, and €3.5 billion representing the sector’s net profit.
Referring to these results, Antonio De Matteis, president, Pitti Immagine, commented: “Men’s fashion plays a central role in the entire Italian textile and apparel system, and Pitti Uomo serves as a driving force within it. The trade show not only serves as a key platform for promoting our products to major international clients and discovering new markets but also, for us exhibitors, as a stimulus for research, the constant creative renewal of products, stylistic evolution, and the use of new materials, even in those sectors.”
“Pitti Uomo doesn’t cover sectors such as classic fashion but presents the entire range of styles and products in men’s fashion and accessories—from sportswear to streetwear, from outdoor wear reimagined with an urban twist to technical apparel infused with design from workwear to the cutting edge of gender-neutral and no-season styles, to name a few. This is what makes Pitti Uomo an unmissable event for brands in the sector and for the best international buyers, whose overall caliber has further increased in this edition,” emphasized De Matteis, highlighting how Pitti Uomo 110 sends a message of strength and confidence to the entire fashion world.
“This is our way of responding to difficulties, of holding our heads high and keeping our eyes open in times of profound change, such as the one we are currently experiencing. And finally, with all due caution and prudence, I want to view today’s news of the first real ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran as an auspicious sign. I continue to believe in the realism of politics, in common sense, and in the power of diplomacy. We must all believe in it,” concluded the president of Pitti Immagine.
