New paths and top players that were not known globally are emerging within the international denim scene (also read my story). Among others, a Chinese vertical specialised garment manufacturer stood out among participants tot he last edition of Denim Premiere Vision–Yuanji Company.
This garment specialist was established as Dezhou Yuanji Textile Co., Ltd. in 1993 as a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested by Taiwan’s Yulon Enterprise Group’s Taiyuan Textile Co., Ltd. on the mainland.
Being one the pioneers in China’s denim fabric industry, Yuanji Company has been rooted in Dezhou, in Shandong, and has become a vertically integrated denim fabric manufacturer covering spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and garment processing.
The company employs over 1,200 employees and uses advanced international production equipment for reaching its productive capacity of nearly 27.432 million meters of mid-to-high-end denim fabrics and over 500,000 garments.
They can offer a diverse range of denim fabrics made with 100% cotton, along with Lyocell, Modal, hemp, and wool–both stretch and rigid. It also has developed technical expertise in functional areas such as cooling, heat retention, eco-friendly recycling, and antibacterial properties, meeting the needs of global mid-to-high-end brands.
“This denim specialist offers a variety of products–both basic and more elaborate–including innovative weaves, special effects, customised selvedge fabrics and so much more,” explained Paolo Leidi, longtime expert insider of the denim industry and consultant for Yuanji Company.
“They are consistently committed to develop and test always new products and technological innovation as R&D is the core driving force for its corporate development,” he added and explained that the company is participating a European trade show for the first time. And despite they have always been manufacturing products for China, a highly populated nation where denim is mostly appreciated, they also sell to the US, Japan, Europe, and Hong Kong, establishing long-term and stable partnerships with numerous internationally renowned brands.
Thanks to its professional R&D team and a well-established research system, Yuanji has obtained multiple patents, covering various technical fields such as nitrogen-sealed systems for vat dyes, new four-way stretch fabrics, cut-resistant and wear-resistant fabrics, and iridescent denim,” he continued.
Since 1999, Yuanji also achieved the Quality Management System certification and successively obtained internationally recognized certifications like OCS, GRS/RCS, and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, meeting globally acknowledged environmental and quality standards.
They are also committed to adhere to a philosophy caring both for clean production, environmental protection and social welfare.
A dedicated environmental team monitors operations 24/7 to ensure compliance with emission standards, though it is committed to support social issues as it pays social insurances and a housing fund for its employees.
