As of April 2026, MIC-Manifattura Italiana Cucirini, an Italian company specializing in the production of high-quality sewing and knitting yarns, has two new CEOs—Tommaso and Rosanna Cumerlato—to whom Gianni Corso has handed the reins after seven years.

Corso successfully guided MIC through the delicate generational transition, structuring the organization with top-tier professionals in every strategic area.

The appointment of Tommaso and Rosanna Cumerlato reaffirms the company’s family identity as it marks its 50th anniversary and propels it toward the future under solid leadership with renewed expertise.

MIC’s journey is part of a long-standing industrial history. It traces its roots back to 1911, with the launch of the Cumerlato family’s textile business in the Vicenza area, and continued in 1976 with the founding of Manifattura Italiana Cucirini, specializing in the production of thread for the apparel industry.

Today, the company boasts a large inventory of ready-to-ship products, with 450 colors available for worldwide shipment, and a growing international presence, particularly in Europe and North Africa.

Over time, the group has expanded its scope to include the haute couture, footwear, leather goods, and furniture sectors, developing products with specific technical characteristics for industries requiring custom solutions.

MIC has successfully adapted to and navigated the changes in the textile market while maintaining production flexibility and specialization.
